Steven (Steve) J. Jividen was born February 18, 1890 in Monona County and died Saturday,
May 2, 1970 at a Sioux City Nursing home after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Monona and Woodbury counties. In 1962 he moved to Sioux City after living in Smithland for 35 years where he made 'his home with a niece, Mrs. Edward Thompson.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Willman Funeral Home in Rodney with Rev. H. A. Smidt officiating. Burial was in Grant Cemetery near Ticonic.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters and his parents. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Dale Iverson, Philip Furlong, Morris Riley, Joy Anderson, Wm. Woods and
Freddie Leisinger.
