Lottie Mae Schoenherr, 92, of Mapleton died Tuesday, April 30, 1991, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were at 1:30 p .m. Friday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton with the Rev. Steven Root officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Mapleton. Visitation was after 2:00 Thursday, with a prayer service a t 7:00 p.m. at Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Mrs. Schoenherr was born March 8, 1899, near Mapleton, the daughter of Lester and Jessie (Lewis) Reed. She married Cregor Schoenherr March 8, 1920, at Sioux City. The couple farmed for several years in the Mapleton area and moved to a farm near Ute in 1926. They retired in 1964 a n d moved into Mapleton. He died Aug. 1. 1975.

Mrs. Schoenherr was a 77 - year member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women. She was a member of Loren Hollister Unit 496, American Legion Auxiliary of Mapleton and Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include a foster daughter, Margaret McGarr of Mapleton; a brother, Glenn Reed of Mapleton: a brother-in-law, Elmer Noakes of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Jerry, Philip, Joe, Mrs. Suzie Roades, and Mrs. Doug (Shorty) Shupe; 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Marilyn: three brothers; one sister and a great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Wayne Livermore, Don Ludwig, Vernon Thies, Tom McNamara, Ed Meier and Leo Dean.
