Chester Lee Hawk was born March 22, 1886 at New Palestine, Ind. He died at his home after a brief illness on March 12, 1961 at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 20 days.

He is survived by the widow, Beatrice; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Vashe of Oakland, Ore.; two sisters, Mabel and Carrie of New Palestine, Ind., two brothers, James of Greenfield, Ind., and Dr Hawk who preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 14, at the Rodney Congregational church. Rev. Duane Tritle officiated and burial was in Grant cemetery.
