11 January 1979Jack Daniels dies at Ida Grove
John E. "Jack" Daniels, 53, of Ida Grove, died Monday, January 4, at his home after a brief illness.
Services were held Friday afternoon at the Christensen Funeral Home. Elder Glen V. Ford of Sioux City officiated. Burial was at the Grant Cemetery in Rodney.
Mr. Daniels was born July 6, 1925, at Smithland and married Glennis A. Ford on July 4, 1948. The couple later moved to Ida Grove in 1952. He was employed by Eisphar and Janssen International Harvester of Odebolt, culminating 24 years with International Harvester dealers in the area.
He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Doug (Sherry) Hopkins of Id Grove; two sons, Leonard of Ida Grove and Rick of Boone; five sisters and six brothers.
