Former Mapleton Resident Taken By Death in Soo City

Funeral services for G.P. Cleveland, 72, year old resident of Hornick and a former resident of Mapleton, who passed away Saturday evening in the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City following a seven week illness, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Methodist Church at Hornick. Interment was in the Center Cemetery near Ticonic.

Mr. Cleveland made his home in Mapleton years ago and operated a blacksmith shop here. His wife preceded him in death in 1918.

He is survived by 7 sons, Elmer Cleveland of Bonesteel, S.D., W.E. Cleveland Platte, S.D., Ward Cleveland of Hornick, Clifford Cleveland of Geddes S.D., Max Cleveland of Omaha and Rex Cleveland and Harry Cleveland of Sioux City. He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Larson of Bonesteel.
