Hold Service For Albert Blakely Wednesday

Albert Henry Blakely of Mapleton died in a Sioux City hospital on February 23, 1976. He had reached the age of 87 years.

Mr. Blakely was born November 11, 1888 in Grant Center. He married Almira Woodward on June 25, 1919 in Ticonic. They farmed near Ticonic. She died August 11, 1965.

Mr. Blakely belonged to the Ticonic United Methodist Church, Amicable Lodge 289 AFGAM of Smithland and Evergreen Chapter 251 of Eastern Star.

Services were at 2 p.m. on February 25, 1976 at the Ticonic United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hall and the Rev. Wilbur Blakely officiating.

Burial was in the Grant Township Cemetery. Masonic services were at 8 p.m. on February 24 at
the Willman Funeral Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harold Ditsch of Hampton; two sons, Gail of Rodney and
the Rev.Wilbur of Warminster, Pa., a sister, Mrs. Ella Nagel of Hornick; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
