Frances Elaine Anderson, 64 of Mapleton, Iowa, died Thursday January 5, 1995 at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 10, 1930. in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Mary(Meyers) Roberts. She resided in Sioux City before moving to Mapleton with her family in 1946. On September 8,1948, she married Joy L. Anderson in Onawa. Mr. Anderson died November 28, 1989 in Mapleton.

Survivors include a son and his wife. Stephen and Janelle Anderson, of Mapleton: 2 grandchildren Amber and Seth of Mapleton; and a sister, Leona Amberson of Santa Barbara, California. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband; and two brothers, Gordon and Art Roberts.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 1995, at the Willman Funeral Chapel at
Rodney, Iowa with Rev. Stephen R. Root officiating. The organist, Mrs. Arnold Richardson, played the selections, "Peace In The Valley" and "The Old Rugged Cross".

Bearers were Mark Riley, Mike Riley, Rick Archer, Robert Pranske, Earl Johnston and Larry Schonfield. Interment was in Grant Township Cemetery at Rodney with arrangements by the Willman Funeral Home, Rodney, Iowa.
