Andrew Aller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Aller, was born Sept. 11, 1863, at Chicago, III. He died at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness Jan. 13, 1953 at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 2 days.

Mr. Aller moved with his parents to Keoka, Iowa, then later to Harrison County, Iowa, where he married Lula Wanamaker. They moved to a farm near Mapleton in 1898.

He was preceded in death by his wife who died Aug. 6, 1942.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Slentz of Mapleton and Mrs. Marie Fillbach of Bailey Harbor, Wis., one granddaughter, Mrs. Neta Peterson and one great - granddaughter, Sandra Peterson, of Smithland, Iowa, one sister, Hannah Aller of Oakland, Calif.; and one brother, William of Spokane, Wash.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Jan.16, 1953, at the Williamon funeral home in Rodney. Rev. Rogers officiated. Mr. and Mrs. John Willmott sang "Going Down the Valley” and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Mead.

Interment was in the Grant cemetery near Rodney. Pallbearers were Clyde Banta, Charlie McGarr, Jay Peterson, Pershal Smith, Ted Jonas and Raymond Warrell.
