Nadine McVicker. age 94 . of Mapleton died Monday, June 21, 1999 at Mapleton, Iowa.
Services were held 1 0 : 30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton with Pastor Karen Handke officiating.

Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mapleton.

Marie Whiteing was the organist and soloist for the selection , "Precious Lord Take My Hand' and the congregation sang. "It I s Well With My Soul". A prayer service was held at 7 : 0 0 p.m. Tuesday at the Armstrong Funeral Home In Mapleton.

Nadine Helen McVicker was born March 4, 1905 , t h e daughter of William and Edna (Oroner) Beatty a t Boone. Iowa. She graduated from Mapleton High School with the class of 1923 and was the valedictorian. She received a one year scholarship to Iowa State College. She married Russell McVicker on August 5. 1925 at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton. Iowa. She worked 25 years at the First State Bank in Mapleton. She also worked at t h e Willow Vale Golf Course where she was a secretary for 16 years. Russell died October 2,1991.

She was a member of S t . John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton where she
was a pianist and organist for 50 years. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and PEO.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include one son and his wife. Robert and
Velma McVicker of Niles, Michigan: one daughter and her husband, Nannette a n d Robert Lundahl of Bullard, Texas; two half-sisters. Betty Taylor of La- Habre, California and Pat Parazzo of Fullerton, California; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren a n d five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell and on e daughter
Edna.

Pallbearers were Robert Lundahl, Kenny Carley, Earl Dennler, lrv Walter, James
Gaukel and Paul Dander Wiel. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Mapleton.
