Minnie Bell West was born March 31, 1881 in Washington. She died April 18, 1976 at the Ida Grove nursing home after a long illness.
She married Wilfred Forker in 1905 at Onawa, Iowa. They lived at Ticonic many years where they operated a general store. Mr, Forker died in 1956. She moved to Sioux City after his death
where she lived until moving to the rest home at Ida Grove.Services were held April 21 at the Willman Funeral Home in Rodney with Rev. Dale Church officiating.
Burial was in Grant Cemetery near Ticonic.
Casketbearers were Melvin Woodward, Les Maynard, Lewis Davis, Richard Reed, Marchmont Heisler and La Dean Hagerdon. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Stone of Sioux City and two sons, Wyman of Sioux City and Tahyer of Moorhead, Iowa; and four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; three sisters,
Mrs. Lillian Hagerdon of Smithland, Mrs. Ednora Ernst of Sioux City and Mrs. Amy Pieffer of Moorhead.
