Ida Wilhelmia Augusta Schrader the daughter of Edward and Augusta (Mohr)
Bohlmann was born April 29, 1894 in Morgan Township of Crawford County. She
lived with her parents on a farm until marriage.Ida was united in marriage to Mr. Louis Schrader on May 23, 1920 in Hanover Township of Crawford County. To this marriage was born two sons.
She and her husband farmed in Monona County east of Mapleton for 42 years.
They retired from farming in 1961 and moved to Mapleton. Ida was a member, of
St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Mapleton since 1921. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Society of the church. She was baptized as a infant on July 1, 1894 and confirmed on April 4, 1909 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover Township at Charter Oak, Iowa,Mrs. Schrader died at her home on Monday, April 12, 1976 after an apparent
heart attack. Having reached the age of 81 years, 11 months and 12 days.
Services were held on Thursday, April 15, 1976 at 10:30 a.m. at the St.
Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton with Pastor Herbert Teske officiating.Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mapleton.
Casketbearers were Harry Gierstorf, Herbert Bohlmann Edwin Bohlmann,
Ervin Neddermeyer , Arthur Tollufsen and Jack Schrader.Survivors include her husband, Mr. Louis Schrader of Mapleton, Iowa; one son,
Melvin Schrader of Mapleton, Iowa; and two grandchildren,
two sisters, Mrs. Emma Gierstorf of Odebolt, Iowa, and Mrs. Emily Blunk of
Denison, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters, and three brothers.
