Pauline A. Swenson
UTE, Iowa—Pauline A. Swenson, 80, of Ute died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1991, at Crawford County Hospital in Denison.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Soldier Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Hagen officiating. Burial will be in the Soldier Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:30 p.m. today at Pearson Funeral Home in Soldier.
Mrs. Swenson was born June 29, 1911, at Cullison, Kan., daughter of Fredrick and Ethel Reeder. She came to the Moorhead area as a young girl. She married Andrew O. G. Swenson Feb. 15, 1929, in Soldier. The couple moved to Soldier in 1951 where she was employed as switchboard operator for Soldier-Jordan Telephone Co. for more than 20 years. The moved to Ute in 1970 where she was employed at Warren’s TV for a number of years.
Mrs. Swenson was a member of Soldier Lutheran Church and the Ladies Society.
Survivors include her husband of Maple Heights Nursing Home, Mapleton; a daughter, Joan and her husband, Glen Butler, of Soldier; three sons and their wives, Myron and Lou of Sioux City, James and Helene of Carson City, Nev., and Robert and Mary of Morano Valley, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a half brother and a grandson, Travis.
