May 23, 2012WHITING, Iowa | Barbara Lois Parrish, 83, of Whiting passed away May 22, 2012, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church, UCC in Whiting, with the Rev. Reva B. Karstens officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, rural Whiting. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.
Barbara was born on Aug.1, 1928, in Lawrence County, Ind., the daughter of Harry R. and Audrey F. (Hutchens) Henderson.
Barbara is survived by a daughter, Linda (Marshall) Loyd of Omaha; a son, Harry (Brenda) of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Gwaltney of Prattville, Ala.; three brothers, Frank (Elizabeth) Henderson of Martinsville, Ind., Robert (Joanna) Henderson of Bloomfield, Ind., and Wayne (Irmgard) Henderson of Sterling, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loran; and three brothers, Paul, Jerry, and David.
