Edwin G. "Jeff' Mohrhauser, 70. rural Hubbard, Nebraska died Saturday, November 10, 1990, at his residence following a four-month illness. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 1990, at the Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Michael Printy. Pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic
Church in Jackson, Nebraska officiating.

Burial was at the Dakota City Cemetery, with a graveside flag presentation by Harty-McNally Post 175, American Legion of Hubbard. Visitation was from noon to 9:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 1990 at the funeral home. Mr. Mohrhauser was born July 15. 1920. at Danbury, Iowa to John and Anna (Hupke) Mohrhauser and moved with his parents to Mapleton. Iowa.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. Serving in New Guinea, the southern Philippines and Luzon, and was awarded the Army's Philippines Liberation Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. He married Bernice Thornton in 1943 in Florida. He worked in Mapleton for Haubrich Construction and Green Bay Lumber. He moved to South Sioux City in 1965. He married Letha B. Hover February 3. 1973, in South Sioux City. He was employed as a dozer operator for several road construction firms, retiring in July, 1990.

He was a member of the Pine Ridge Crawford Eagles Club and the American Legion Post 500. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Ruth and her husband, Larry Price of Sioux City:* two stepsons and their wives, Ricky C. and Judy Chamberlain of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and Rodney G. and Tammi Harron of Hubbard, Nebraska: a brother. Carl of Mapleton. Iowa: five sisters. Joann Mohrhauser and Arleen Hinrickson, both of Mapleton. Evie and husband. Leo Uhl and Edna Moore, all of Sioux City. Anna and husband. Warren Streeter of Nisland, South Dakota; four grandsons: three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and a brother-in-law, Louie Hinrickson.
