Martha M Means

Martha M Means passed away February 18, 1995 at Whiting, Iowa, at the age of 100 years, 2 months, 6 days.

Martha was born December 12, 1894 at Mendota, Illinois, the daughter John and Adelaide Harjes. She came to the Castana area with her parents. Martha married Loren Means in 1925, at Onawa, Iowa. The couple made their home in Castana. Loren died in 1958.

She was a member of the Castana Community Church and the Ladies Aide and Rebekah Circle there.

Survivors include two sons, Don Means of Sioux City and Dale Means of Castana; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Martha was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
