H. Veryl Lee, 75, former mayor of Granville, Iowa, died Saturday, July 5, 1986, in a tractor accident on his farm five miles west of Oto.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 8, 1986, at the United Church of Christ in Oto with the Rev. John Oren officiating. Burial was in Westfork Township Cemetery at Climbing Hill.

Mr. Lee was born September 10, 1910, near Ute. He married Viola P. Davis June 28, 1930, in Onawa. The couple farmed in the Mapleton, Battle Creek, Ute and Climbing Hill communities until moving to Oregon in 1948. In 1949, they returned to Mapleton where Mr. Lee worked for Haubrich Construction Co. In 1951, the couple moved to Climbing Hill where he worked for Gynor Lumber Co. In 1961, they moved to Granville where he worked for Moorman Seed Co. Mrs. Lee died August 15, 1968.

In 1972, Mr. Lee retired from Moorman Seed Co. He married Vera Jackson Weathers on February 9, 1973, at Oto, and the couple made their home five miles west of Oto. He worked for Kent Feed Co. in Granville until 1981. Mr. Lee had served as mayor of Granville.

Among the survivors are brothers, Darold Lee of Schleswig and Stuart Lee of Battle Creek.
