ONAWA, Iowa -- Norma Ann Gualazzi, 74, of Onawa passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, with her loving family surrounding her.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with the Rev. Patrick O'Kane officiating.

Norma was born April 15, 1936, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Norbert and Elaine (Moritz) Kellen. She graduated from Heelan High School in Sioux City.

Norma and David Gualazzi were united in marriage on April 21, 1955, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. They moved to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., and started their family. They later moved to Sioux City and had resided in Onawa for the past 17 years.

She had a passion for collecting antiques, reading, cooking and baking, but her greatest love was her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, David Sr. of Onawa; four daughters, Gina (Steve) Allen of Onawa, Rose (Chet) O'Neill of Sioux City, Brenda (Steve) Simpson of Whiting, Iowa, and Donna (Todd) Messerole of Onawa; two sons, David (Kim) Gualazzi Jr. of Onawa, and Dean Gualazzi of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Tony (Leslie) Kriege, Brandon (Tessa) Smith, Dusty (Katie) Smith, Cari Gualazzi, Abby Kriege, David Gualazzi III, Amanda Gualazzi, Sara Gualazzi, Benny O'Neill, Molly O'Neill, Austin Gualazzi, Grace Allen and Hannah Rae Messerole; two great-grandchildren, Madison Kriege and Parker J.; three brothers, Don (Mary Lou) Kellen, Tom (Jeanette) Kellen and Sonny (Lori) Kellen; and two sisters, Judi (Bob) Brouilletteand Linda (David Boe) Kellen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Madge Kellen; and very special twin daughters, Debra Sue and Denise Dawn.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staffs of Burgess Health Center and Clinic and most importantly, to her physician Dr. Paul Dudley.
