Moorhead, Iowa—Lawrence E. Hieber, 72, of Moorhead was dead on arrival at a hospital in Onawa Wednesday after being stricken at his residence.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead. The Rev. Luther Flugstad will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery, near Moorhead under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home at Onawa.

Mr. Hieber was born December 16, 1909, near Castana.

He married Clara Kuhlmann December 24, 1936, at Elk Point, S.D. They moved to Moorhead in 1946. He worked as a self-employed trucker and was presently employed as the conservation officer at Preparation Park near Moorhead and caretaker of Spring Valley Cemetery.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Fremont, Nebr.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Keith of Moorhead; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Everett (Doris) Davis of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Edgar of Blencoe; one sister, Evelyn Farwell of Castana; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
