27 May 2011ONAWA, Iowa -- Ruby P. Clark, 93, of Onawa died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, with Pastor Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Ruby Pearl Clark, daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Jacoba) Gray, was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Little Sioux, Iowa. She was one of 13 children. Ruby was raised and educated in the area of her birth.
On May 23, 1938, Ruby married Beze Clark Sr. To this union three children were born, Beze, Donna and Carolyn. The family made their home in Onawa and Ruby was a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her house plants, watching television, and being with her dog "Baby." Beze Sr. passed away July 19, 1989, and Ruby continued to live in her own home in Onawa.
Survivors include her son, Beze (Gloria) Clark of Onawa; her daughters, Donna (Earl) Reitz of Onawa and Carolyn Clark of Turin of Turin; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Irene and Kathyrn; her brothers, Arlie, Floyd and Lawrence; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Ruth, Dorie and Margaret; four brothers, James, John, Don and Dorman; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley.
