Ute, Iowa—John P Aaby, 90, of Ute, died Wednesday in an Onawa hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Christian Church at Ute. The Rev. Keith Hair and the Rev. Everett Epperson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery with the Walter Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Aaby was born July 23, 1886, at Harlan. The family moved to a farm near Ute in 1896. He lived there until 1973 when he moved into Ute. He married Arlene Fayers June 20, 1946, at Carrol. They moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1975. They returned to Iowa in 1976. For the last year, Mr. Aaby had lived at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting. He was a member of the Christian Church in Ute.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Michael of Scottsdale, Ariz., and John of Ute; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Debra) Meyer of Turin; five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
