Ute, Iowa—Mrs. John Aaby, 55, of Ute died Friday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ with the Rev. Mark Smeltzer officiating.

Mrs. Aaby donated her body to Creighton University Medical School for research.

Mrs. Aaby, the former H. Arlene Sayers, was born September 7, 1925, at Stanton, Neb., and lived there until moving to Ute in the late 1940s. She married John P. Aaby on June 20, 1949, at Carroll, and he died on July 6, 1977. She had lived in a Sioux City nursing home for the past 1 ½ years.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Debra) Meyer of Turin; two sons, Michael of Gilbert, Ariz., and John S. of Ute; 12 grandchildren; four brothers, John and Harry of Omaha, Jack of Colorado and Fred of California; and four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Peterson of Colorado, Mrs. Ev Zrust of Clarkson, Nebr., Mrs. Raymond (Beulah) Hankens of Stanton and Mrs. Louis (Velma) Yeoman of Omaha.
