Freda M. Forbes Aiello, 85, Onawa, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 1, 1994, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

She was born July 8, 1908, in Ashton Township, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Webster) Forbes. She attended school at Whiting, Iowa in 1927. She attended Cedar Falls Teachers College and taught one year at Murphy School near Onawa. She later worked at Pocatello, ID., where she met her husband, Frank J. Aiello of Utica, NY who was stationed at an Army base there. On June 1, 1943, they were married in Pocatello, and made their home in Utica for 40 years. Frank died there in March 1985. Freda then moved back to Onawa in August 1988 to be with her family who reside here. She had been a resident of Elmwood Care Centre since 1990.

She is survived by three sisters, Georgie Mahoney, Nancy Forbes and Mrs. Gary (Mildred) Wolcott, all of Onawa; one brother, Gale Forbes of rural Onawa; and two nieces and their husbands, Marsha and John Wasilewski of Schleswig, Iowa and Janice and Orville Jacobsma of Winterset, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Robert.

Memorial Service were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 1994, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Rev. James J. Stroh officiating.

Graveside Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 1994, at St. Agnes Cewmetery, Utica, N.Y. with arrangements there by Scala and Roefaro Funeral Home, Uticia, N.Y.

Local arrangements were by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
