19 September 1991Olga C. Andersen, 77, Onawa, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 10, 1991, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
She was born June 29, 1914 on the family farm in Jordan Township, rural Soldier, Iowa. She graduated from Soldier High School in 1933. She moved to Onawa from Soldier in 1950 and had made her home in Onawa ever since.
She was baptized in the Ingeman Lutheran Church at Moorhead and was confirmed in the Soldier Lutheran Church.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the Church.
Survivors include: two brothers and their wives, Harry O and Vivian Andersen of Soldier and Axel and Mary Andersen of Charles City, Iowa; two nieces, Mrs. Leonard (Carol) Weisberger of New York City, New York and Mrs. Paul (Kathryn) Kalmoe of Madrid, Iowa; three nephews, John and Fradene Andersen of Denver, Colorado, Tom and Lisa Andersen of Madrid, Iowa and Dick Andersen of Soldier.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services were held at 2:oo p.m. Saturday, September 14, 1991, at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa with Pastor Quentin Quanbeck officiating. Mrs. Syril Brown, organist, accompanied the congregation in singing “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” and “ Behold A Host.”
Bearers were Ralph Gorham, Lewis Hadden, Robert K. Hansen, Duane Fredrickson, Jerry Hansen and Harvey Hansen.
Interment was in Jordan Township Cemetery at Soldier with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
