Mrs. Walter Andresen

Caroline Andresen, a longtime resident of Moorhead, Iowa passed away on July 26, 1973 at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa. She had reached the age of 59 years, 8 months and 9 days.

She was born on November 17, 1913, at Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Marie Jetter Wendt. On September 20, 1933, she was united in marriage with Walter Andresen at Charter Oak and lived in the Moorhead area for the past 29 years. She was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead.

Survivors include her husband, Walter of Moorhead; two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Falorence) Hagerman of Pisgah, Iowa and Mrs. Ivyn (Nancy) Lund of Anita, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. William (Louise) Andresen of Denison, Iowa, her mother, Mrs. Marie Wendt, also of Denison and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one daughter.

Services were held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, July 30, 1973, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead with Pastor Irvin Lovseth officiating. Mrs. Donald Solberg sang “Beyond The Sunset” and “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied by Mrs. Alfred Holz. Bearers were Virgil Johnson, Marvin Kahl, James Woodward, Carroll Johnson, Dale Vredenburgh, and Byron Messenbrink. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Denison, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa.
