Irvin D. Adams was born December 30, 1882 in Harrison County and passed from this life November 1, at Turin at the age of 81 years and 10 months.

He was the son of Reuben and Jane Adams. He had been a resident of the Moorhead area for 70 years, where he had been engaged in farming. For the past five weeks he had been a patient at a Turin Nursing home, and prior to that had made his home with the Edwin Brown family.

He is survived by a nephew, Edwin Brown of Moorhead; a half-brother, William Adams of Logan; two great nieces and three great-nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, at the Moorhead Christian Church with Rev. Samuel R. Wall officiating. Miss Ella Ballantyne sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beyond the Sunset”, accompanied by Mrs. Wayne Outhouse.

Casket bearers were Kenneth Lund, Kenneth Mohn, Raymond Fredrickson, Arthur Fredrickson, Dan Hartford and Weston Taylor. Interment was in the Spring Valley cemetery at Moorhead under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home.
