26 October 1995Albert Francis “Bud” Adams, 71, of Onawa, Iowa, died Monday, October 16, 1995, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Adams was born July 4, 1924, at Blencoe, Iowa, the son of Albert and Margaret (Stansbury) Adams. He attended the Blencoe School. On September 3, 1946, he married Emma Johnson at Onawa, Iowa. He worked for various farmers in the Blencoe area until 1946, then he worked at the Blencoe Co-op Elevator for 28 years, and at Berry Lumber Company in Onawa for 8 years. He lived all his life in Blencoe until moving to Onawa in March 1995.
He was a member of the Blencoe United Church of Christ where he had served as a Trustee. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department at Blencoe for many years and a member of the Lewis and Clark Wood Carvers
Survivors include his wife Emma; three sons, Bill of Castana, Jim and his wife, Kyoko, of San Jose, Ca., and John and his wife, Patty of Blencoe; one daughter and her husband, Reva and Pat McClure of Washougal, Wa., seven grandchildren, Melissa, Elizabeth, Whitney, Aaron, Adam, Melody and Mindy; four great grandchildren, Mike, Jesse, Jamie and Dillon, two brothers, Franklin of Blencoe and Charles and his wife, Margaret of Manteca, Ca., many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evalyn and Viola.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 1995, at Graceland Cemetery at Blencoe, Iowa, with Pastor David Montecuollo officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
