SMITHLAND, Iowa -- Lois Mae Jensen, 68, of Smithland passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010, at her home following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Willman Funeral Home in Rodney, Iowa, with Pastor Karen Handke officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Ticonic. Visitation with the family present will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Lois Mae Jensen, daughter of Delmar and Jennie Bernice (Mills) Greenstreet, was born Dec. 13, 1941, at Castana, Iowa. On July 24, 1959, Lois was united in marriage to Frank Jensen in Onawa, Iowa. Lois worked at the Home Cafe in Mapleton, Iowa, the Rose Bowl in Omaha, Neb., Mapleton Lanes and Five Star Cafe in Mapleton, for 17 years. In later years, she worked at the Monona County Court House for six years, worked private home care in Ute and Turin, Iowa, for four years, and then at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting for 23 years.

Lois enjoyed her flowers and butterflies.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jensen of Onawa, Iowa; two sons, Todd Jensen and wife, Kim of Egg Harbor, Wis., and Ron Jensen and wife, Mary of Jackson, Neb.; six grandchildren, Nicole Trompeter of Sioux City, Amanda Collins of Sioux City, Dustyn Jensen of Jackson, Neb., Josh Fowler of Jackson, Dillon Jensen of South Sioux City, and Sami Fowler of Jackson; one great-grandson, Gage Fowler of Jackson; one brother, Loyal Greenstreet and wife, Phyllis Ann of Derby, Kan.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Maggie Greenstreet; and her husband, Frank Jensen.
