26 May 2010WHITING, Iowa -- Ramona I. Wilen, 81, of Whiting, formerly of Sloan, Iowa, passed away Friday May 21, 2010, in Whiting.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Albaton Cemetery near Sloan. There will be no visitation. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff is handling arrangements.
Ramona was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Logan, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Vera (Donaldson) Raines. She attended and graduated from Logan Schools.
She was united in marriage with Gary E. Wilen on March 31, 1961, in Logan. Gary preceded her in death on May 4, 2010, in Sioux City.
Ramona worked for many years at Prince Manufacturing Co. in Sioux City as a purchasing agent. She was an excellent homemaker and mother, who loved to cook and spend time with her children.
Ramona will be missed by her family, which includes her sons, Tom Mace of Whiting and Steve Mace (Rita) of Girdwood, Alaska; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ken and Robert "Bob" Raines, both of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gary.
