ONAWA, Iowa -- Edna "Todd" Nikolaison, 68, of Onawa died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with the Rev. Don Collison officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Edna was born Nov. 12, 1938, at her grandparents' home in rural Blencoe, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Agnes (Wallace) Poole. She was raised in the Blencoe area until her teens, when her family moved to Moorhead, Iowa. She graduated from Moorhead High School.

She married Clarence "Butch" Nikolaison Jr. in June 1966, at Blencoe. The couple made their home in Blencoe. She was employed at the ASCS Office and later Monona County Auditor's Office for many years until ill health forced her retirement in the early 1990s.

She always enjoyed being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She fought a gallant battle with Muscular Sclerosis and entered Elmwood Care Centre in the fall of 1999.

Survivors include a sister, Joy Hamman of Dunlap, Iowa; two brothers, Richard Poole of Moorhead and David and Sharon Poole of Turin, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
