WHITING, Iowa -- Neal Denney, 51, of Whiting died suddenly Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, Iowa, with the Revs. Steven Hetzel and Reva B. Karstens officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Neal was born Dec. 6, 1955, in Onawa, the son of Vern B. and Mardell (Frydenlund) Denney. He was raised in the Onawa area and graduated from West Monona High School in 1973. He attended Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City and attained a carpentry certificate. He was employed at Scanada in Akron, Iowa, for more than 20 years. He also had his own trucking business.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He loved having a good time with his friends. He also loved riding and traveling on his Harley motorcycle.

Survivors include his family, Cathy Bryan, Trent, Heather and Shelby Rodman; two sisters and their husbands, Cheryl and Joel Koenig and Jolene and Lon Ulven, all of Whiting; a niece, Lori Richardson and Mariah and Garrett, all of Spencer, Iowa; and nephews, Jeremy and Rikki Reynolds and Trysta, Kyle and Jake, all of Perrault Falls, Canada, Chad and Bobbi Jo Miller and their son Hayden of Houston, Texas, and Matt Miller of Sloan, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers, David and Leon; and a brother-in-law, Rick Reynolds.
