Mrs. William N Templeton, 51, of Topeka,, Kansas, formerly of 815 West Elm, died at St. Francis hospital in Topeka on Friday afternoon, May 7.

Mrs. Templeton, the former Evelyn Cox, daughter of Alice Cox and the late Frank Cox, was born on April 18, 1914 at Castana.

She was married to William N. Templeton on August 17, 1931 at Tarkio, MO. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Topeka and had belonged to the First Baptist Church when she lived in Chanute, Kan.

She was a member of Sunflower Chapter, O.E.S., the Shawnee County L.P.N. Association and a former member of the Today’s Mother Club.

She is survived by her husband, William; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Krone of Chanute, Kansas, and Mrs. Patricia Krasny of Topeka; three grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Alice Cox of Onawa; two sisters, Mrs. Beaulah Pitts of Onawa and Mrs. Gerry Anderson of Sunnyvale, California and a host of friends.

The memorial service was held at 2:30 Monday afternoon in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gayle Bender of Wellsville, officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Shaw of Topeka.

The body did lie in state at the Johnson Mortuary on Sunday afternoon and at the First Baptist Church from 1:30 to 2:30 Monday afternoon. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
