Mary Elda Toothman, 97, of Sioux City, died Thursday, January 29, 1998 in Sioux City.

Mrs. Toothman was born on December 15, 1900, the daughter of William Mustard and Bertha (Berkley) Mustard, in Onawa, Iowa. She married Paul Toothman in Aurora, CO. He died in September 1975. She lived for many years in California, and moved to Sioux City in 1990. She was a homemaker and member of the American Legion Auxiliary of California.

Survivors include two nephews, Don Lawrenson and Wayne and Virginia Lawrenson, three nieces, Pat and Harry Dorr of San Bernadino, CA., Betty and Ben Dunham of Onawa, and Eileen Flannery of Sioux City, and four cousins, Helen Beedle, Lester Dean, Aurilla Mustard and Maurice Mustard, all of Onawa.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Burial will be in Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.

Arrangements were by Christy Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, Sioux City.
