Whiting, Iowa—Charles E. Dahl, 84, of Whiting died Sunday at an Onawa hospital.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Whiting Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Thomas Guenther officiating. Burial will be in the Whiting Cemetery.

There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the Wood Funeral Chapel in Whiting.

Mr. Dahl was born April 10, 1893, near Whiting and was a life-long resident of the Whiting area. He married Evelyn Bergstrom March 15, 1916. He had farmed until retiring in 1947.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Oscar of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Alvina) Percival of Battle Lake, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Chris and Carl Jr. both of Sloan and Gail and Donald, both of Sioux City, and three sisters, Mrs. Chris (Della) Johnson and Mrs. Bill (Mary) Dunn, both of Sloan, and Mrs. Roland (Pearl) Coil of Spencer.
