Onawa, Iowa—Helen Spearman, 79, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, formerly of Onawa died Wednesday, September 22, 1993 at her house.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa. The Rev. Steve Hetzel will be officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa City Cemetery in Onawa. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Spearman was born January 12, 1914 in Onawa, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Hoffman) Wilkins. She graduated from the Onawa High School. She married Frank Spearman March 12, 1935 in Carroll, Iowa. He died August 19, 1993 in Palos Heights, Illinois.

Mrs. Spearman was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Jr. of Oak Lawn, Illinois and Gerald Sr. of Addison, Illinois; two grandchildren, Laura Foster and Gerald Spearman; a great grandson, Ryan Foster; and a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Doris) Dehn of Onawa.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Wilkins; and a sister Irene Funkhouser.
