22 September 1993Onawa, Iowa—Edna O. Hodges, 85, of Onawa, died Monday, September 20, 1993 at Elmwood Care Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church, Onawa, with the Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
Mrs. Hodges was born October 2, 1907, at Castana, daughter of Erick and Anna (Johnson) Carlson. She married Burr Hodges September 22, 1926, at Sioux City. They farmed in the Blencoe and Onawa area before moving into Onawa. Mr. Hodges died Jan 2, 1976 at Onawa.
She was affiliated with the First Christian Church.
Survivors will be three sisters-in-law, Doris Benjamin and Dorothy Hodges, both of Onawa and Nettie Carlson of Sioux City; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Freda Roberg, Ellen Knoff and Florence York and three brothers, Albin, Bill and Alfred Carlson.
