Chase O Baker, 78, of Sioux City, died Thursday, September 30, 1993 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Walter Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, with the Rev. Joe Boysen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mapleton. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. through service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Baker was born December 18, 1914 in Soldier Township, Crawford County, near Danbury, Iowa the son of Charles and Grace (Edgington) Baker. He attended Soldier Township School and farmed with his parents. He worked for Warren Electric in Sioux City.

Survivors include three sisters, Nilmah Gilbert of Danbury; Donna and her husband Carl Longlee of Castana, Iowa and Norma Johnson of Sioux City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
