7 April 1988Wayne Henry Kinsley, son of Arthur W. and Bessie Butcher Kinsley, was born in Onawa on February 11, 1914 and passed away in a Sioux Falls, SD, hospital March 30, 1988 at the age of 74 years, 1 months and 19 days.
His parents moved to Maynard, Minn. when he was a small boy and lived there several years before returning to Onawa again to make their home, Wayne then entered the Onawa Public School and graduated from Onawa High School in 1933.
On December 12, 1935 he was united in marriage to Georgia (Jo) O’Connor. To this union three daughters were born.
In 1942 they moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. to make their home. He was an auto mechanic for Whelco Brake Co. In 1976 after suffering a heart attack, he semi retired.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia “Jo”, his daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Beverly) McCauley of Sioux Falls, S.D, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Wayna “Jeane”) Kannenberg of Huron, S.D. and Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Colleen) Helmstetter of Denver, Colo, five grandchildren and one great- granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Harold who died in infancy.
Funeral services were held in the First Christian Church in Sioux Falls, Saturday, April 2, 1988 with Dr. N. Gayle Fisher officiating. Burial was in the Onawa Cemetery with Rev Jerry Quandt of the First Christian Church in Onawa officiating at the Graveside Service on Saturday afternoon.
