Floyd LuVerne Riddle, the son of Brady and Ernestine Riddle was born on February 23, 1930 at Ute. He lived with his parents on the farm near Ute until his marriage to Betty Hall on June 26, 1948 in Onawa. After his marriage he farmed in the Ute and Castana communities, being especially interested in raising cattle. He belonged to the Christian Church in Ute and had been a member of the National Farmers Organization. He was a very devoted husband and father and was highly respected by all of his many friends and neighbors.

Mr. Riddle entered rest very suddenly at his home near Ute on January 14, 1969, after reaching the age of 38 years, 10 months and 21 days.

Survivors are his wife, Betty, of Ute, 4 sons; Gary, who is in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California, Craig, Bryon and Barry all at home; 2 sisters, Mrs. Elvin (Hazel) Hanson of Castana, and Mrs. Neva Olson of Douglas, Arizona; 4 brothers, Loren of Castana, Charles of Castana, Leonard of Sioux City and Myron of Ute Brady Riddle of Ute.

Mr. Riddle was laid to rest on January 17, 1969 in the St Clair Cemetery in Ute.
