Mrs. Blane Towne

Mrs. Blane Towne, a resident of Little Sioux, Iowa, passed away September 13, 1974, at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa. She had reached the age of 65 years, 5 months and 15 days.

Born on March 28, 1909, at Gordon, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Fred B. and Ruth Kensella Lindley. On November 14, 1928, she was untied in marriage to John Blane Towne at Logan, Iowa.

Mrs. Towne was a lifetime resident of the Little Sioux, Blencoe, area and was affiliated with the United Methodist church.
Survivors include her husband. Blane of Little Sioux; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Bonnie Jean) Dee of Indio, Calif.; one son, James B. of Kimball Nebraska; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack I. Lindley of Onawa; and a host of other relatives and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 1974, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. John Epperson officiating. Clara Kelley was organist and played “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled.” Bearers were Lloyd Bothwell, George Powell, Everett petty, Milo Stanislav, Ray Lindley, and Leo Framke. Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery wit arrangements by the Pearson Funeral home of Onawa.
