Irma Tobey

Irma Tobey, daughter of Francis and Ida Bennett, was born November 14, 1886 at Charles City, Iowa. She passed away at the age of 82 on July 13, 1969, at Cherokee, Ia.

Mrs. Tobey came to Onawa to live around 1900. On July 14, 1915 she was united in marriage to Clarence Tobey at Sioux City, Iowa. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa until 1925. Mrs. Tobey was a registered nurse and had worked at Fairfield, Iowa for 23 years. While at Onawa she was a member of the First Christian Church. Mr. Tobey preceded her in death on May 14, 1925.

Surviving her is one sister Mrs. John Jenson of Sioux City, Iowa and nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 1969, at the Onawa Cemetery. Rev. E. E. Epperson officiated; arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home.
