17 May 1984Arthur Gust Olson, 88, lifetime resident of Castana, Iowa, passed away May 6, 1984, at Elmwood Nursing Home, Onawa, Iowa, where he had lived for the last few months.
He was born October 8, 1895 at Castana, Iowa, to Gust and Christina Erickson Olson. He farmed near Castana until moving to Sergeant Bluff in 1982 where he lived until moving to Elmwood Nursing Home.
He is survived by two brothers Emil and Edward “Ted” both of Onawa, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Peterson, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 8, 1984 at Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa with Rev. Jerry Quandt officiating.
Casket Bearers were Harlan Morgam, Brady Hansen, Harvey Hansen, Raymond Nelson, Daniel Mauch and Ronald Mauch.
