20 March 2002Luea E. Sorenson, 87, Onawa, Iowa died Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Burgess Health Center at Onawa, Iowa.
Luea was born August 6, 1914 at Blencoe, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbur and Bertha (Marley) Hime. She attended school at Blencoe and was married to Harold M Sorenson May 10, 1935 at Glenwood, Iowa. The couple farmed near Onawa.
She enjoyed her family, gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; two sons, Darrell and Tom both of Onawa; a daughter Sharon and her husband Dennis Colman of Washington, Iowa; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Bonnie Stevenson, Mary Brokens and Evelyn Purchase all of Onawa and Francis Clay of Whiting, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Dennis, grandson, Jared; great-granddaughter, Jennifer; four brothers and two sisters.
Private funeral services with Pastor Steven Hetzel officiating, were conducted by Rush Family Care Service at Onawa, Iowa. Burial was in Harrison Cemetery at Whiting, Iowa.
