The Olson’s also claim a daughter, as they raised Mrs. Olson’s niece, Betty Keplinger, now Mrs. Stanley Karlewics of Brooklyn, New York. Betty visited her foster parents only a few months ago, bring her two small sons with her.

The olsons lived at Albaton until 1951 where they were loyal members of the Skien Lutheran Church and where Mr. Olson still maintained his membership after moving to California.

He is survived by his widow, Dora; one son, Carlton and two grandsons, Roddy and Allen of El Centro; and three sisters, Mrs. Iva Morehouse of Calipatria, Mrs. Myrtle Remer of Covina and Mrs. Ethel Cato of Onawa, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia Olson.

During their few years in California, the Olsons have made many friends whose sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.

A Memorial service was held on Thursday morning in the Hoopes-Frye Mortuary in Brawley with the Rev. Orville W. Schlueter of the Trinity Lutheran Church in charge.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 7th at the Skien Lutheran Church in Albaton with Pastor Harold Naig conducting the services.
