Funeral Services for Mrs. Albert Blakely, 71, a lifelong resident of Ticonic, who died at a nursing home Wednesday, August 11, 1965, where held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, at the Methodist Church. The Rev. W. Leonard Rowse and Rev. Wilbur Blakely, a son of the deceased, officiated. Burial was in the Grant Cemetery under direction of the Willman Funeral Home of Rodney, Iowa.

Almira McMath Blakely, the daughter of the late Rolla D and Amy Jane Woodward was born December 6, 1893 at Ticonic, Iowa. She was married to Albert H. Blakely on June 25, 1919 at her home in Ticonic. Three children, Gladys, Gail and Wilbur, were born to this union.

She taught school in Ticonic and Oto before her marriage. She was a member of the Ticonic Methodist Church; WSCS; Lakes Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists; Martha Washington Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and Evergreen Chapter No. 251, Order of the Eastern Star at Smithland, Iowa.

Survivors include the widower, a daughter, Mrs. Harold Ditch of Hampton, Iowa; two sons, Gail Blakely of Castana, Iowa and Rev. Wilbur Blakely of Warminster, Pennsylvania; a sister, Mrs. Glenn Miller of Castana; three brothers, Vinton and Evans Woodward both of Castana and Mark Woodward of Robbinsdale, Minn. and 10 grandchildren. Her parents and a brother, Russell preceded in in death.

Pallbearers were John Schick of Rodney, Orlo Johnson, Darrell Larson of near Ticonic, Warren Heisler of Kennebec, Waldo Lundeen and Rex Persinger of near Grant Center.
