9 June 1977Mrs. Isidor Uhl, 93, of Mapleton died Wednesday at her daughter’s home in Smithland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Catholic Church at Mapleton. The Rev. Walter Bruch will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Walter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Uhl, the former Angie Mae Musser, was born March 16, 1884 in Monona County. The family moved to Washington State when she was a child. They moved back to Iowa in 1894 and lived in the Rodney-Ticonic area.
She was married Feb. 20, 1906 at Mapleton. They farmed near Mapleton, and moved into town in 1944. Mr. Uhl died in 1949. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Olive) Shattuck of Smithland; two sons, Curt of North Platte, Nebr. and Loyde of Mapleton; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
