Richard “Dick” O. Gray of Eugene, Oregon died December 20, 2009 at the age of 69. He was born the son of David & Margaret (Green) Gray December 30, 1939, in Onawa, Iowa. Dick was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Onawa High School.

He was united in marriage to the former Linda Marye Johnson, June 17, 1948 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

While serving in the U.S. Army, he and Linda lived on Vashon Island, Washington where Dick was stationed. After his discharge from the Army he attended the University of South Dakota receiving his Associates Degree.

Moving first to Portland then to Eugene, Oregon in 1970 where Dick worked 21 years for E.J. Bartell’s Industrial Insulation; prior to starting his own business, Emerald Industrial Insulation..

Survivors including his wife Linda of Eugene ate their two daughters; Sherrie Gray, of Bend, OR. & Tarry Kruit of Eugene, OR; 3 sons, Joel Gray of Portland, OR. Jerry Gray of Hillsboro, OR. & Kevin Gray of Gig Harbor, WA. Brother, David Gray of DesMoines, Iowa; 15 grandchildren & 7 Great-Grandchildren.

Memorials in his memory are requested to be made to the Green Hill Humane Society, 88530 Green Hill Rd, Eugene, OR. 97402
