Delores “Dode” (Stulgies) Cartmill, 65, Little Sioux, Iowa died at her home Saturday, February 3, 2001.

“Dode” was born March 4, 1935 in Omaha, Ne. She was married to Clifford Cartmill March 8, 1953 in Omaha. She was a seamstress and especially enjoyed being a homemaker. She also cooked at school in Omaha.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford; two daughters and their husbands, Joyce and Garry Clark of Whiting, Iowa and Renee and Bob Bauermeister of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons, Lloyd and his wife Mary Cartmill of Logan, Iowa and Scott Cartmill of Little Sioux, Iowa; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and their husbands, Maryann and Bruce Block of Blair, Nebraska, Imogene and Tom Larison of Mondamin, Iowa and Valera and Bob Green of Littleton, Co. and one brother and his wife, Ernest and Bobbie Stulgies of Omaha, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie D. Stulgies and a sister Betty Block.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor DeeAnn Klapp, officiating. Patti Gibson sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Lord I’m Coming Home”. Ann Phillips was organist. Burial was in Kennebec Cemetery, Castana, Iowa. Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were George Fleming, John Cartmill, Greg Stulgies and Rich, Randy and Russ Ruffcorn.

Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa.
