HORNICK, Iowa -- Richard A. Henneous, 62, of Hornick died suddenly Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, in Jacksonville, Fla.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hornick Townhall. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Willman Funeral Home in Rodney, Iowa.

Richard was born July 14, 1945, in Mapleton, Iowa, the son of Walter and Louella (Hauschildt) Henneous.

On May 29, 1967, he married Betty Sturtevant in Elk Point, S.D. He was a self-employed truck driver, leasing for Star Fleet Inc. of Muskogee, Okla.

He loved being with his family. He enjoyed stock car racing, NASCAR, fishing, motorcycles, bowling, visiting and joking.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of Hornick; two daughters and their husbands, Dawn and Ron Hanks of Climbing Hill, Iowa, and Rosie and Lyle Hanks of Hinton, Iowa; a son, Jimmy Henneous and special friend, Michelle, of Cocoa, Fla.; a sister, Carol Forney and special friend, Larry Hunt of Sloan, Iowa; a brother and his wife, Gary and Kari Henneous of North Sioux City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Henneous; his mother, Louella Henneous Norby; and his stepfather, Glen Norby.
