Walter Earl Henneous was born January 13, 1903 in Castana and passed from this life December 3. Death came in the Bennett nursing home in Turin where he had lived for about two years. He had reached the age of 61 years.

March 18, 1941 he was united in marriage with Luella Howschildt. He was a farmer in the early years of his life and was also a trucker. He worked for Booth and Olson Construction Co. His last job was at the Mapleton Sale Barn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank and mother, Margaret Henneous.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Carol) Forney of Hornick; two sons, Richard and Gary of Sioux City; a grandson, Lee Forney of Hornick; three brothers. Cecil G of Reseda, California, Theodore of Buena Vista, Colo. and Leonard of Portland, Ore; and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 7 at the Community Church in Castana. Rev. James Epperson officiated. Evans Davies sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beyond the Sunset”, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Davies.

Casket bearers were Fred Anderson, Dick Smith, Harold and Boecher Lamb, Arvid and Herman Erlandson. Interment was in the Kennebec Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson funeral home.
