Leo Albert Henneous, a son of Frank and Maggie Henneous was born at Castana, Iowa on October 30, 1913 and passed from this life near Turin as the result of an auto accident on Sunday, October 11, 1959, at the age of 45 years, 11 Months and 11 days.

Leo was a lifetime resident of the Castana community, where he had worked on a number of farms. At the time of his death he was employed at the Honeggers Company in Onawa, as a carpenter.

He had been a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Castana and the Castana Community Church.

He is survived by four brothers, Cecil G of Reseda, Calif., Theodore of Denver, Colo., Walter of Mapleton, Iowa and Leonard of Portland, Ore., a number of other relatives and many friends throughout this community.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 14th at the Castana Community Church with Rev. Philip Olsen conducting the services. Evan Davies sang “It is well with my Soul” and “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Oliver Kelley. Casket bearers were Harold and Beecher Lamb, Horton Pennington, Richard Smith, Arvid Erlandson and Carl Longlee. Interment was in the Kennebec cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home.
